Dr. Catherine Brunel

Dr. Catherine Brunel, MD, FRCPC, FCCMG, is a Medical and Biochemical Geneticist at BC Children’s Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor at UBC. She specializes in inherited metabolic disorders, with expertise in energy metabolism, clinical management, and the physiological impacts of nutrition and supplementation. Alongside her academic and clinical work, she brings a strong focus on performance medicine and athlete health. A former Canadian National Team climber, she continues to contribute to the sport as a volunteer physician for Climbing Escalade Canada’s High-Performance Athlete Health Care Team.
